Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How old is IVRWarehouse? Are you based in the United States?
A: IVRWarehouse is a division of DiRAD Technologies, a 26 year-old Voice Solution Provider.

Q: IVR is expensive. How can you possibly deliver a quality product at such low prices?
A: We develop IVR applications based on the Microsoft speech engine which dramatically lowers software costs, plus we leverage your sweat equity in developing the application to reduce professional services.

Q: Is your IVR proprietary? Are you the only company that does this?
A: NO. The applications are developed in .NET, via Microsoft's Windows Workflow Foundation. There are developers all over the world who can design and support the applications. Our differentiator is our people – we've been doing IVR process analysis and design for over 2 decades.

Q: What if I need extra consultation and attention during my project?
A: We'll quote you for extra services, but this won't affect your hardware and software pricing - you're still getting a great deal on the system.

Q: Where do you ship?
A: We currently ship anywhere in the world.

Q: What languages do you support?
A: We currently support English, Spanish (United States), French (Canada), English (United Kingdom) and German.

Q: Will you install my system?
A: Using the latest in remote technologies, our model is to ship your system and assist you with the install remotely. However, we offer optional installation performed by IVRWarehouse technicians anywhere in the U.S.

Q: Will you train us on operating the system and running reports?
A: Yes. You'll be a pro after attending our one-on-one webex sessions. Plus, you'll have a video training session to "take home" later.

Q: Can you host our IVR application?
A: Yes. IVRWarehouse and parent company DiRAD host applications in secure SAS-70 data centers with redundant power, security and fire protection. DiRAD holds a Federal GSA contract for hosted IVR, so you can be assured we're vetted, responsible and reliable.

Q: We need a web application to go with our IVR.
A: Since most IVR systems these days contain a web component, IVRWarehouse is staffed with professional web developers to complete the work in-house. Your IVR also comes with its own web application for running reports.

Q: What is your warranty?
A: Systems come with a full 1-year warranty including remote support. Your server includes a Dell 1-year onsite warranty.

Q: What if I'm not satisfied with my system?
A: There are many steps to developing your system, and throughout the journey, you're actively involved. You'll have opportunities to test, listen, evaluate, and change. Most importantly, make sure your top decision maker is involved from the beginning. They could tank the whole project if they don't like what they're hearing!
Any issues on the site will be worked through to your satisfaction. Problems can arise from telephony connections, transfers, network connections, etc. But be assured we have years of experience dealing with these issues, and will prepare your IT team beforehand.

Q: What is the operating system? What are the system specifications?
A: We're currently delivering servers running 64-bit Windows Server 2008 R2. A typical server is a 1U Dell rack-mount server with a Quad Core Xeon processor and 4 GBS of memory. Included dual hard drives run in the 160GB range. We utilize telephony gateways to connect to the PSTN, so the server is board-less - hence nonproprietary. The IVR communicates with the outside world via the SIP protocol, a VoIP standard. Gateways connect the IVR to the PSTN, or you can save money by connecting via SIP Trunking.

Q: Who made the IVR software?
A: IVRWarehouse writes the applications using the Microsoft Speech Engine.

Q: What is the SIP IVR?
A: The SIP IVR connects directly to the phone network via SIP, thereby removing phone lines from the equation altogether. This can result in substantial savings both in IVR costs and telephone billing. For more information, check out our SIP Trunking FAQ and visit our ITSP (Internet Telephony Service Provider) partners:

Q: Will you sell to wholesalers and/or resellers?
A: We run through very few resellers. If you can demonstrate you have a high level of customer service, reliability and integrity, we'd like to speak with you.

Q: You're on the East coast. We're on the West coast. How do you support our system?
A: We utilize remote support. We also provide Dell onsite support and gateway cross-ship RMA support.

Q: How do I backup my system? What about disaster recovery?
A: The system can be imaged and restored to another server should the need arise. The server comes with dual hard drives for real-time protection.

Q: Are there special boards in my system?
A: NO.
